Laissez les bon temps roulez


Yesterday I returned home from New Orleans, where I celebrated my 50th birthday. I had so much fun, I did a whole page on the trip. Click here to see it.

My cousin Lori and I ate at Restaurant August to celebrate her 50th birthday. The food was over the top fantastic, and the chef, John Besh, even stopped by our table. Not only was he gracious; he was gorgeous. Not that I noticed.

To top it off, on our way out, we passed Mario Batali stopping by for a late lunch. All we heard him say was, “It smells good in here.” It did.

Besh is better looking in real life. Mario, not so much.
